In a new step to expand its market in Egypt, Vivo launched its new phone Vivo Y17s, which belongs to the upper economic category and features good specifications for its price. The phone was introduced for the first time in the global markets in September last year, and became available for purchase in Egypt officially in the latest price list from the company.
Design and screen of Vivo Y17s
The Vivo Y17s phone comes with a simple and elegant design made entirely of plastic, weighing 186 grams and measuring 8.1 mm in thickness. The phone is equipped with an IP54 certificate to resist water and dust, and supports the installation of two fourth-generation communication chips in addition to a memory card up to 1 terabyte. The phone is available in two colors, purple and green.
The screen that the phone carries is of the IPS LCD type, with a size of 6.56 inches and a resolution of HD+ and a density of 269 pixels per inch. The screen is characterized by high brightness up to 700 candles, and occupies 90.6% of the front interface area of the phone.

The Vivo Y17s phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor with a frequency of 2.0 GHz and a manufacturing accuracy of 12 nanometers, which provides average performance in applications and games. The processor is supported by a Mali G52 graphics processor and a 6 GB random memory of the LPDDR4x type and a 128 GB internal memory of the eMMC 5.1 type.
The operating system that the phone runs on is Android 13 with the Vivo Funtouch 13 interface, which provides a smooth and customized user experience.

The rear cameras are equipped with an LED flash for lighting in low conditions.
As for the battery, the Vivo Y17s phone has a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh that supports fast charging with a power of 15 watts and reverse charging to charge other devices. The battery is charged through a USB Type C port.
Price and availability of Vivo Y17s
Vivo announced the availability of the Vivo Y17s phone in the Egyptian market at a price of 7490 Egyptian pounds for the only version with a memory of 128/6 GB. The phone is available for purchase through the official stores and authorized distributors of the company.
This is a relatively high price compared to the specifications of the phone that compete with other phones in the basic economic category. But the phone may attract some users who are looking for a phone with a large screen, a powerful battery and a high-resolution camera.
