“Samsung” will provide an instant translation feature in its new phone

In its new smartphone that will be launched in 2024, the South Korean company “Samsung” leading in the field of technology offers a tool for instant translation based on artificial intelligence, according to a spokesman for the group told AFP.

The spokesman said that this feature will be available in the next version of “Samsung Galaxy”, the most popular model of smartphones produced by the company, which will be released in early next year.

The spokesman added that the new tool will allow “to translate voice or written text directly during the call”, without mentioning the number of languages ​​that will support it.

Thanks to the “integrated artificial intelligence” in the new device, the tool will work even if one of the speakers does not have a “Samsung” model. Samsung confirmed in a statement that talking to someone in a different language using artificial intelligence will be “simple as activating the translation” in a series, ensuring that personal conversations will remain safe in smartphones.

This announcement came in parallel with the launch of the group’s own generative artificial intelligence tool “Samsung Gauss” Gauss, which can create linguistic, symbolic and visual content, which the company currently uses.

Samsung indicated that this tool will be integrated in the near future in a variety of its products, without specifying them or mentioning a specific date for including the tool in them.

The giant South Korean company is the largest manufacturer of smartphones in the world, as it represents a fifth of the total sales in the market between July and September, ahead of Apple (16 percent), according to the specialized site “Counterpoint”.
