In an official event in China, Vivo announced its new phones in the flagship category, which are the Vivo X100 series that includes the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro phones. The new series features the powerful and energy-efficient MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor, a large AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and triple rear cameras with a resolution of 50 megapixels each, and a huge battery that supports fast, wireless and reverse charging.

Vivo X100: A smart phone with a sleek design and distinctive specifications

The Vivo X100 phone comes with a sleek design and glass materials with a plastic frame, and is available in a version with a leather-textured back. The phone weighs 202 grams or 206 grams depending on the version, and its thickness is 8.5 mm. The phone has an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, and supports the installation of two 5G communication chips, but it does not support the installation of an external memory card.

The phone has an AMOLED screen measuring 6.78 inches and a resolution of 1260×2800 pixels with FHD+ quality, and the pixel density in it is 453 pixels per inch. The screen features a brightness of up to 3000 nits, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and curves on the sides. The screen contains a fingerprint sensor, and supports face unlock.

The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 octa-core processor, which is the latest processor from MediaTek, and features a 4-nanometer manufacturing accuracy, and a frequency of up to 3.25 GHz. The processor comes with an Immortalis G720 graphics processor, and supports artificial intelligence and augmented reality technologies. The phone runs on the Vivo Funtouch 14 interface based on Android 14.

The phone is available in several options for internal memory and RAM, which are 256 GB with 12 GB RAM, or 16 GB RAM, or 512 GB, or 1 TB with 16 GB RAM. The phone uses LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 memory, which are the fastest types of memory available in the market.

The phone has a 32-megapixel selfie camera with an F/2.0 lens aperture, and a triple rear camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels each. The main camera comes with an F/1.57 lens aperture and has an optical image stabilizer, and allows high-resolution and clear-detail shooting. The second camera comes with an F/2.0 lens aperture and is dedicated to wide-angle shooting up to 120 degrees, and allows capturing large scenes and landscapes. The third camera comes with an F/2.57 lens aperture and is of the Preiscope type, and allows optical zoom up to 5X and digital up to 60X, and also has an optical image stabilizer. The rear cameras support LED flash and 4K video shooting at 30 frames per second, and support cinematic mode and electronic stabilizer in all lenses. The lenses are manufactured and signed by Zeiss, a German company specialized in optical lenses.

The phone does not support the 3.5 mm headphone jack, and its external speakers are of the Mono type. The phone supports NFC for electronic payment and IR Blaster sensor for controlling electronic devices. The phone supports the real proximity sensor, which helps save energy and avoid accidental touches.

The phone has a lithium polymer battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, and supports fast charging with a capacity of 120 watts, which can fully charge the battery in just 15 minutes. The battery also supports reverse charging to charge other devices, and charging is done through the USB Type C port. The price of the Vivo X100 Pro phone in China starts at $685 or about 21100 Egyptian pounds for the 256 GB version with 12 GB RAM, and reaches $825 or about 25500 Egyptian pounds for the 1 TB version with 16 GB RAM.
